Journeys is a diary-style philosophical exploration sparked by a challenging trip to Lofoten, Norway with close friends.

What We Wanted to Do:

The journey, marked by a 28-hour train ride through Norway's deserted, frosty scenery, pushed us into deep reflection on personal and philosophical themes. The trip was not only a physical journey through the icy landscapes but also an exploration into the philosophical debates that arise from close quarters. We dove into discussions about life's fundamental questions and our personal reactions to them—exploring the hypocrisy in human nature, the struggles we share, and how we perceive freedom, responsibility, pleasure, and pain.

What We Did:

During this journey, I recorded our discussions, the landscapes, and the moments of personal reflection. I wanted to document how the external challenges of our environment mirrored our internal struggles. As we navigated through Lofoten's challenging terrain, we confronted our philosophical differences and shared vulnerabilities. This confrontation was not just verbal; it was deeply emotional, reflecting on how we often despise in others what we can't accept about ourselves. We discussed the value of different life paths, whether focusing on career-driven achievements or embracing simpler pleasures, and how these choices reflect deeper values and fears.

The film, Journeys, evolved into a rich narrative that intertwines the stunning visuals of the Norwegian landscapes with our intimate philosophical explorations. The film has resonated with audiences for its authentic portrayal of the complexities of human relationships and the introspective journey that travel can ignite.
